One inconvenience we found was due to the lights in the dinette. There was one light on each side, over ones head. When sitting at the table your body and head cast a shadow on the table. Hard to see what you're doing. So we decided to put a light over the front of the table.

I ran a wire along the front of the shelf under the trim piece. Drilled back into the shelf to connect the light, and drilled into the cabinet on the left. You can see the 12V outlet in the picture. This is where I pulled the power from. This is a two switch LED light. I changed out most of the bulbs in the trailer to LEDs.

It did make a difference. I believe this position is standard on newer Escape-19s.
