The parts for the Z axis are shown in the picture below. On the far right is the Z bearing block. It contains two angular contact ball bearings working against each other to keep the ball screw from moving laterally. The center of the picture shows the apron parts. And to the left the head box containing the Z stepper motor which drives the ball screw.
